2 Questions and 2 Answers About Taylor Carpenter Personal Training

Posted by:

I continue to try and answer a few questions each week on my “You Ask, I answer” frequently asked questions page.

What is it like working out at your studio?

I have a 1250 square foot facility, top of the line equipment, and I keep it cleaner than any gym you’ll find.

I only provide 1 on 1 training so this means the client I’m training as everything all to themselves, no sharing, full 100% access. Can also listen to whatever music you ...

Belt Squat Likely Coming Soon To Charlotte Personal Training Studio

Posted by:

To provide an update on my previous 2018 Black Friday Wish List post…I’ve made an update and now intend to pickup the Rogue Belt Squat machine as my big ticket item for my Ballantyne personal training studio. The only likely scenario where I don’t pick this up is if Rogue happens to sell out before I purchase it.

Most clients have been unfamiliar with the machine so I wanted to explain and share some images.

First are the ...

Early Black Friday 2018 Wish List

Posted by:

Every year since I’ve opened my Ballantyne personal training studio in Charlotte NC I’ve literally invested thousands of dollars in gym upgrades annually. I’m now in the 7th year of my lease at the same location, and 2018 will likely be no different.

I already have my eyes set on a number of items, and feedback/requests are always welcome (within reason). Black Friday saves me a lot of cash so the quality of deals I end up getting may dictate what ...

NEW PAGE | You Ask, I Answer | FAQ

Posted by:

I’ve opened a new section to the website called “You Ask, I Answer“, it’s simply a FAQ page. I will start adding to this page weekly or bi weekly with questions that I receive from emails and/or social media accounts. For the most part will stick to training, nutrition, and recovery.

How often should I work out?

It really depends on an infinite ...

The Ideal Client, A Trainers Wish List

Posted by:

When seeking a personal trainer, clients will generally seek out various attributes in someone they want to work with.  A super high energy person vs low energy person, weight loss history vs athletic history, males vs female, young vs old, harsh personality vs easy going, maybe it simply comes down to location and price.  Most of you are looking for something.

Trainers are no different and often seek out suitable candidates that will fit their training style. As I’ve gained more ...

Final List of Black Friday Purchases For The Studio

Posted by:

Below is a list of the 2016 Black Friday purchases I made for the gym. You probably won’t find too many other places reinvesting like I do. Over the past couple of weeks since BF I have been working to get it put together and placed properly. Still awaiting a barbell and my first purchase, the calf raise machine.

Rep fitness adjustable bench
Elitefts seated calf raise
Ironmaster adjustable db set
Ironmaster 120lb add on ...

1st 2016 Black Friday Purchase | EliteFTS Seated Calf Raise Tibia Raise

Posted by:

As current and past clients can attest, I am constantly upgrading the personal training studio here in Ballantyne (Charlotte NC). I do so throughout the year but even more so on Black Friday. Online retailers offer such great discounts on gym equipment it would be dumb not to take advantage.

I’ve wanted a calf raise machine for about 3-4 years and I just hadn’t found the one I wanted until now. This is a seated calf raise tibia raise combo from ...

Studio Photo Gallery Updated Sept 2016

Posted by:

I have now uploaded a new photo gallery to the Studio Photo Gallery section. All pictures done by long term client Andres Godoy.

I’m constantly upgrading the facility so the images tend to quickly go out of date. Even since these pictures have been taken I’ve done a little re-arranging and added a high quality punching bag with stand.

A couple barbells have also been added.

New images were long overdue so very happy to have a more current representation of ...

New Equipment: Punching Bag In This Weekend

Posted by:

As I’ve mentioned in many other posts, I’m constantly upgrading this facility at a rate that I can’t imagine anywhere else is matching.

I now have a new punching bag and stand delivered that should be up and ready this weekend. This will add some additional variety and possibly a more “fun” way to do breathtaking cardio. Cardio doesn’t appear to be the favorite here, so always trying to make the necessary a little more enjoyable.

Black Friday is just a ...
