Past the 80% Mark On NASM Behavior Change Specialist Crediential

Posted by:

Just a quick update on the Behavior Change Specialist course via NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). I took a little study break during the holidays but I’m now 80% done with the course, should be ready for the exam soon.

This will be my 4th credential through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Currently and actively:

certified personal trainer (CPT),
corrective exercise specialist (CES), and
fitness nutrition specialist (FNS).

So far some of the topics covered have included:

Coaching and communication
Client screening & assessment
Effective goal setting
Behavior therapy techniques
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Effective imagery techniques
(two more chapters to go)

Always exciting to be hanging new plaques on the wall!
