New Workout Equipment at Taylor Carpenter Personal Training Studio

Over the past few weeks since deciding to make the studio exclusively for one on one personal training I’ve brought in a few new pieces of equipment most notably the Vulcan Strength Glute Ham Developer which I’m very excited about. The American Chiropractic Association has said that over 80% of our population will suffer from low back pain at some point in their lives, Americans spend over $50 billion to treat low back pain each year, and it’s the single leading cause of disability worldwide!

The GHD is the best piece of equipment to really strengthen your entire posterior chain (back side of your body including calves, hamstrings, glutes, low back, erector spinae, etc). The consistent use of this machine I’ve found to help give you a better sense of manual back contraction/control as well. This is my favorite piece in the studio along with the most important and beneficial.

In addition, I’ve brought in the following items at the studio as well.

Pendlay Elite Flat Bench – “absolutely indestructable” according to Muscle Driver USA
Everlast Boxing Mitts – Boxing seemed to be a hit when Zeke Samples, a previous trainer at the studio had shared his equipment with us. He has since moved on to his very own private facility so thought this would be good item that needed to be replaced.
MuscleDriverUSA Sandbags – I put together 2 sandbags. One 37lb sandbag and the other 100lbs. I intend to put together another 24lb bag in the near future. This is great for an added stability challenge in the workouts.
Body Solid 360 Degree Swivel Landmine – I put off ordering this because I didn’t know of a spot to put it, luckily its a snug and perfect fit on one of my cages. I have since ordered a 2nd one to come in early next week. This is great for core & circuit work, very small and simple addition but adds so many options to your workouts!
Body Solid Lat Blaster Bar – This will be in early next week. It goes with the 360 Degree Swivel Landmine. It’s only real function is to create an alternative grip when performing T-Bar Rows for your mid back and lats.
Body Solid Plate Tree – Nothing exciting here, just plate storage. However I will be removing the standard bench press to make room for a water rower which will be in soon as well.
